My Lifelong Career Goals

While growing up, I always paid attention to how money worked—whether it was helping count change, watching how my family budgeted, or noticing how businesses made decisions. Over time, I realized I enjoyed working with numbers and understanding how finances connect to real life. That’s when I knew I wanted to go into accounting. I want to become an accountant because it allows me to help people and businesses stay organized and make smart financial decisions. Accounting is important because it keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes, and I like the idea of being someone people can trust with their finances.

My Educational Path

Knowing I wanted to pursue a career in accounting, I focused on classes that helped me build skills in math, business, and problem-solving. Throughout high school, I took challenging courses and stayed involved in activities that pushed me to think critically and stay organized. I am grateful to have attended Saraland High School, which focuses on students’ future careers and prepares them for college. My teachers have played a big role in helping me stay on track and understand real-world concepts. Being involved in school activities, including sports, has helped me learn how to work with others, manage my time, and stay disciplined.

All of these experiences have helped me grow academically and personally, and they have prepared me to continue my education and succeed in the field of accounting.

My Community Service

I was fortunate to have grown up in a church that believes in community service. From a young age, I was taught the importance of giving back and helping others. Growing up, my church would always host a Pastor’s Pantry where we collected canned goods and non-perishable items for a month and then gave them to selected families in need. These experiences have shaped my perspective and taught me how important it is to serve others. They showed me that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s life. Being involved in service has helped me become more compassionate and aware of the needs around me, and I plan to continue giving back to my community in the future.

School Extracurricular Activities

Being involved in extracurricular activities has helped me grow both personally and academically. As a baseball player for Miles College, I have developed discipline, teamwork, and strong time management skills while balancing school and athletics. These experiences have also allowed me to build meaningful relationships and stay actively engaged in my school community.

Community Involvement

Being involved in my community has helped me grow as a person and understand the importance of helping others. Through serving and giving back, I have learned valuable lessons about responsibility, compassion, and teamwork. These experiences have shown me that even simple acts of kindness can make a difference in someone’s life. The skills and values I have gained from community involvement will help me become a stronger college student and a more dependable employee in the future. Most importantly, I have learned that when people come together to support one another, they can create positive change and make the community a better place for everyone.
